Bothwell Regional Health Center will hold a Safe Sitter babysitting class from 8 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 25. The class will be in the Bothwell Education Center, 600 E. 14th Street in Sedalia.

The class is intended to teach youths and to set them up for looking after children. Educational modules were upgraded to incorporate pediatric cardiopulmonary resuscitation training, known to you and me as CPR:

"Students in previous Safe Sitter classes indicated a strong interest in learning CPR in order to be a better prepared baby sitter,” said Bothwell’s Community Outreach Coordinator Melissa Boeschen. “We are pleased to be offering the most recent curriculum that includes CPR in this one-day class. We anticipate filling the class with eager students, ready for a fun summer of babysitting.”

The young people additionally find out about harm administration and counteractive action, childcare essentials, conduct modification, the money part of looking after children, and how to nurture a gagging youngster or baby. Course materials are intended for kids ages 11 to 14, no less than 11 years of age. The cost for the class is $35, which incorporates a bag with some materials to help out the new babysitters.

Preregistration is required and should be possible by calling 660-827-9138 or messaging mboeschen@brhc.org. Printable enrollment structures are accessible online at www.brhc.org/brhc_education_safesitter. Enrollment and installment are expected by October 21. Class size is constrained so early enrollment is recommended.

Babysittingly yours,

Behka
