This month is Breast Cancer awareness month.

Researchers say that one in eight women will develop breast cancer. It is something that is important to detect at an early stage. No matter what stage you're in, it is important to have a great support group around you. Maybe if you're reading this, you are supporting a loved one with this.

The Sedalia superintendent of schools, Brad Pollitt, is someone that's mother had breast cancer and he shares his story.

The Bothwell Regional Health Center Foundation is aiming to try and help our area, by purchasing a 3D Mammography Unit for the hospital. You can enjoy an elegant evening and help raise funds to bring 3D mammography to Sedalia when you join us at the Bothwell Foundation Benefit on Saturday, November 8. Tickets are $150, which includes a $100 tax-deductible donation to the Bothwell Foundation mammo project. Learn more and get your tickets online at BRHC.org or call the BRHC Foundation at 826-6263. Help make a difference, one woman at a time.

Be sure to check out more about the 3D mammography project online.
