The Boys and Girls Clubs are really doing a lot of good this holiday season for all the kids who come into their organization. They're gearing up for their Evening of Heart and Hope, but that's not all that's going on.

Their mission is to inspire and enable all young people to realize their full potential as caring and productive citizens.  The Boys & Girls Clubs of West Central Missouri is a rural authority on positive youth development providing after school, before school, school break and summer programming to youth ages 6-18. They believe that every child has the ability and potential to be great.  Every day their staff of trained professionals work to make a positive impact in every child´s life. They strive to give each child a real sense of hope and opportunity. It's all work to bring out the best in every child by carrying out a mission with care.

They offer a programming schedule that allows members to participate in the programs that they choose.  The Club is a safe place for kids to play and interact with their peers, to learn more about themselves and to be under the supervision of trained and caring Youth Development Professionals.  All of that is made possible by some of their great fundraisers that they have throughout the year, including the Evening of Heart and Hope.

I got to talk with Matt LaCasse about ways you can help out local kids with the B&GC.

Be sure to go to their website or stop by the building at 3100 Aaron Ave (near the Post Office), or you can call (660) 826-8331 if you want to find out more information. The Evening of Heart and Hope is coming up on Feb. 8, so don't forget to get your tickets today.

Clubbingly yours,

Behka
