The new school year is quickly approaching and with it, returns The Boys & Girls Clubs of West Central Missouri after school programming.

Most Club sites are located right in a child’s school and all offer a healthy snack, homework help and educational, hands-on learning opportunities for children in kindergarten through high school.

“We had a great Summer Program with lots of learning and fun and are excited to keep that momentum going through the school year,” said Communications Director Emily Jarrett. “Staff are working hard to make this year the best one yet – adding new programs and thinking about how best to reach out to our Club members.”

Once again BGCWCM will offer The CLUB to Sedalia Middle School and Smith-Cotton Junior High School students, at its downtown location at 314 South Washington Avenue. Students will be bused to the location through an arrangement with the Sedalia 200 School District.

“What’s exciting about The CLUB this year is that thanks to a great partnership with our local Lowe’s store, members will be walking into a brand-new CLUB,” Jarrett said. “Volunteers completely revamped the space to make it more tween and teen-centered, complete with media room and weight room.”

Boys & Girls Clubs of West Central Missouri Sedalia location sites are open immediately after school until 6:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. The cost is $5 per day or $20 for the week.
