Blake Shelton left the coach's chair on Tuesday's live The Voice finale to sample a track off his new If I'm Honest album, "She's Got a Way With Words."

Centerstage and dressed in all black, Shelton gave a performance to remember. His vocals were exactly on point, as he was surrounded by his band. He remained carefully composed and relaxed while he belted the song — an angry song about breaking up with a woman who wronged him. Shelton gave his remaining team player Adam Wakefield a real life example of how to be a country superstar.

The judges seemed to be entertained by the song, as well. The camera shot to frames of both Adam Levine and Pharrell Williams during the performance, who both seemed amused by the sarcastic lyrics: "She put the her in hurt / She put the why in try / She put the S.O.B. in sober / She put the hang in hangover / She put the ex in sex / She put the low in blow / She put a big F.U. in my future / Yeah she’s got a way / She’s got a way with words."

Shelton earned a standing ovation from his fellow judges by the time his tune wrapped. It hasn't been confirmed that the song takes aim at ex-wife Miranda Lambert, but the singer made it believably honest, even though he didn't write it. "She's Got a Way With Words" is the second track off his recent release, If I'm Honest
