The Voice's Season 11 Top 8 will be cut down to the Top 4 on Tuesday night (Dec. 6), so the pressure was really on during Monday night's (Dec. 5) live performances. Billy Gilman selected Celine Dion's "I Surrender" for his semi-finals performance and shared a duet with one of his competitors during the two-hour show.

"When you get down to the wire, it's scary," Gilman admitted in a pre-taped segment prior to his live performance. "To have this second chance, it's amazing, it really is."

Readers can press play above to watch Gilman's rendition of "I Surrender," which he performed beneath a number of elegant crystal chandeliers and with a string section and choir backing him up.

"There was a moment amongst the coaches that I've never seen before, which was basically the look of shock and amazement ... It's hard for Celine Dion to sing Celine Dion!" Gilman's coach, Adam Levine, said following Gilman's performance. "No one appreciates this [experience of being on The Voice] as much as this guy."

Prior to his solo performance, Gilman teamed up with Alicia Keys' team member Christian Cuevas for a duet on X Ambassadors' "Unsteady." Prior to the performance -- which readers can watch below -- Gilman and Cuevas joked around in a pre-taped segment, during which Cuevas recalled how fun it was to meet Gilman during their time on The Voice because a grade school teacher was always playing Gilman's song "Oklahoma."

"He's always so positive about life," Cuevas said of Gilman. "Billy is a freakin' powerhouse that I have to keep up with."

Gilman skyrocketed to stardom following the release of “One Voice,” his debut single, in 2000; he was 11 years old at the time, making him the youngest country artist to ever earn a Top 40 hit. Gilman’s album of the same name earned double-platinum status, but his following singles and albums did not achieve the same level of success. In November of 2014, Gilman revealed that he is gay — and called out the country music industry to support LGBTQ artists.

Gilman first landed on Team Adam during The Voice‘s blind auditions. Fans who would like to see Gilman be one of the Top 4 and perform during the finals of the TV singing competition can vote for him on the show’s official website and download his version of “I Surrender” on iTunes prior to eliminations on Tuesday night (Dec. 6).
