You can't avoid em, you're bound to see or hear em everyday: Commercials. Some of them are good and effective, some of them are bad and just plain wrong.  I'm sure you heard back a couple of months ago about the really bad local commercial here in Missouri. A mall in St. Joseph, Missouri put out what might be the worst commercial of the YEAR.  It's a back-to-school ad where a guy beat boxes, while actual employees sing OFF-KEY about all the stuff you can buy. And it's so bad, we thought it had to be fake at first, but it's real.

Now to me, that may be memorable, but it's not doing them any good. It does not make me want to shop there.  In my mind, an effective commercial makes you remember what they're trying to sell you and maybe even makes you want to buy it.   Boyfriendo and his kids have a couple of them that we have to always stop at if they're on.

WHY CAN'T WE JUST GET IN THE RUNNING CAR?!   That one was just hilarious.  I usually find that Geico does great funny commercials, but I have to admit it's not going to make me switch to them.  So I don't know if that's a success or a failure.  And then on the other hand, there's this:

We have to stop every time we hear it, no matter what we're doing, and sing along with that hold music.  And yes, it made us try the pretzel pizza, so I guess that was good for them.  But then, I'm also the same way with an ad that's played on our stations for our pals at Bryant Motors.

Anyway, it's time to get to the part where you tell me about your thoughts.  So I thought I'd ask you guys about your favorite commercials!  Let me know which ones you love and which ones you hate, and I'll share your answers on the air!

Holding for-eeeevaaaaaaar,

Behka
