Huntin' Harry
The weather is cooling off nicely, the deer are moving and bow season is in full swing. Man, I love those calm mornings sitting up in the tree stand, watching the sun come up and the woods come alive, waiting for that buck that I've been hoping would come by.
Our annual Big Buck contest has begun. Here are all the rules you'll need to know.
Bow season is here and I’m lovin' the weather. I got a call this week from Harold Ray and he has something for you to win. Stop into Ray’s Custom Butchery 7 miles East of Sedalia on 50 Hwy during bow season and register to win a $100 gift certificate towards deer processing for gun season. Two certificates will be given away and I’ll get to announce the winners November 2.
Bow season starts Saturday, September 15! I'm already in pre-rut. We're getting lots of great pics for our Trail Cam Contest every day. Thank you for sending those photos. It's looking like you voters will have your hands full!
Labor Day weekend came and went, and it was the best three-day weekend I can remember. I had an awesome time with family and friends. For those who don't know, the Pilot Grove Picnic is the best kept secret in our area
We're looking for the best trail cam photos in Mid-Missouri! We know you've been looking for that big buck, and if you've found one, we want to see it. Send us your 2012 trail cam photos for your chance to win a brand new trail cam and other great prizes!
The weather is great and the archers are all getting ready for bow season. I'm stoked, I've been seeing a lot of good bucks and great does. As a member of PETA... that's People Eating Tasty Animals, I like to fill my freezer with the does. They're tasty and really healthy for you.
The fair is over, the weather is great, and the kids are back in school. With a record drought going on, food plots are looking terrible, the creeks are low and the lakes are drooping. However, you can still catch crappie and some nice cats too. Plus, the deer are still looking great. It's also looking like there's going to be a lot of turkey this year too.
The fair is in high gear and the weather is awesome! We'll be out there from 3 p.m. until the concert at 7:00 with another awesome deer to be scored for prize packages. Thanks to everyone who scored the last one. You can see the official score and the winner of the contest here. The winner was closer than we ever thought anyone would get, so the next one will be tougher than the last! It's really a once in a lifetime deer, so come get your photo with it, then try and score it for your chance at prizes. We'll also have door prizes for the kids.
Hello all! The fair is here, and the weather has dipped down into the low 90s. I'm going to break out the parka! I hope everyone is enjoying the outdoors while they can. Here's a rundown of events going on this week.
