Ionia Woman Wins $20,000 from Missouri Lottery Scratchers Ticket
The Missouri Lottery reports that a woman from Ionia has won a major lotto prize. Geraldine Carrico of Ionia followed her hunch about a Missouri Lottery “Cash Ka-Pow” Scratchers ticket and ended up winning a $20,000 top prize. Carrico, 65, bought the winning ticket at Rush Hour 9, 1320 South Limit in Sedalia on June 15.
Excessive Heat Warning in Effect for West Central Missouri
The National Weather Service has issued an Excessive Heat Warning through Saturday night for West Central Missouri with the ongoing high temperatures. At this time there appears to be no rain in the forecast for the next week, but temperatures are expected to feel like it is between 100 and 105 and sometimes up to 115 in the next few days.
