You never know what you will get when you tune in to the Bruce in the Morning Show. I will make fun of just about anybody and anything. If it's on your brain, then we can talk about it, so I always invite you to be a part of the show.
People are coming to me asking if I'm thrilled about the election. Most of them are being sarcastic because my beliefs lean to the right. The answer is "no." I'm not thrilled. But it has nothing to do with the outcome of the Presidential election. No matter who won the election, the problems facing us as a nation don't change.
We want to give you $10,000. If you haven't already entered to win, get to it! And let's say you win. What would you do? Throw a big party at Dukes & Boots? Get all new furniture from Missouri Furniture? How about using it as a down payment on the car of your dreams from one of Sedalia's five new car dealers?
Tomorrow is election day. All the campaigning, arguing and muckraking ends and we choose our leaders and weigh in on various propositions. There have been a lot of people asking what is going to be on the ballot so they may research and cast an informed vote.
Every now and then, I get an email that is worth sharing. Everyone knows I don't have much of a sense of fashion. I wear jeans and polo shirts for the most part and I keep the colors pretty basic. The email I received this morning delves into the fashion aspect of the dating world. Here it is:
I'm one of those people that believe Christmas decorations should not be put up until after Thanksgiving. I enjoy the holidays, but I also like for them to have a special feeling. I think we lose some of that when we start seeing stores display Christmas merchandise after the day after Halloween. Some retailers have had their displays up for weeks already. Apparently, I'm not alone.
I was talking about this on the air this morning and there was so much response that I decided to post it here too. My friend's young son called her "the B-word," so she said he couldn't go trick-or-treating for Halloween. Is that too harsh? Should she let him go? Or should she be consistent and make her threats of punishment have merit?
As usual, a good time was had by all at the first Halloween celebration at Dukes & Boots. Over $500 in cash and prizes was awarded to participants in the costume contest. Part two is Halloween night with a $500 cash to the best costume. Here are some pics. Comment on them and share them!
I hear about people destroying their phones all of the time. Jumping into a pool with it in their pocket, dropping it to the ground or dropping it in the toilet. That last one I'll never understand. When you're at the toilet, you should be too busy to be using your phone. But I digress.
