You never know what you will get when you tune in to the Bruce in the Morning Show. I will make fun of just about anybody and anything. If it's on your brain, then we can talk about it, so I always invite you to be a part of the show.
It's time for the Missouri State Fair! That brings out people of all walks of life doing things that make us laugh, cry, feel nauseous or all three.
We all tell stories of the things we see at the fair, but a picture is worth a thousand words. Share your freakish sights with us! Get the shot and send it to us using the form below. We might just give you some concert tickets if you send the freakiest photo!
If you want to avoid the heat and the rain, you should probably get to the Missouri State Fair sooner rather than later. According to The Weather Channel, we have a pretty good shot at some rain towards the end of the fair. Here's the breakdown:
I became a fan of Parvesh Cheena last year when I saw him play Gupta on NBC's "Outsourced." I didn't have a chance to visit with him while the show was on the air, so when the opportunity came up to talk to him, I jumped at it. The audio is below.
I've told stories about Gracie the Pit Bull before. She's a big lap dog, and her tail is more lethal than her bite. She looks intimidating but, in reality, she is a big baby. Of course, there is still the stigma of her breed to overcome.
We're getting ready for my 6th Missouri State Fair. I'm looking forward to many things. Corn dogs, Missouri Beef House cheeseburgers, a pork chop dinner at the Pork Palace, fresh squeezed lemonade and the live entertainment throughout the fairgrounds. I'm NOT looking forward to the traffic.
We've talked about pickup lines before. Which ones work, which don't, and which are the worst. Women that have participated in our conversation had an almost unanimous reaction to pickup lines: they don't like them. Evidently, that isn't as universally true as we thought.
Halloween is great fun. When you were a kid, dressing up for candy was one of the biggest thrills of the year. When you have kids, seeing them get excited at the prospect of potential tooth decay is equally as great. Then there are the parties and costume contests. Everyone wants to stand out in the crowd and have their ensemble be the talk of the evening. That can be a real challenge.
It has been nearly a week with laryngitis. I do rest my voice as often as possible, but in my line of work, that's not always easy. People keep telling me about their home remedies, but in my experience, none of them actually work. Seeing a doctor seems to be the next step. There's a small issue with that though. My primary care physician retired recently and I don't have a new one. Doctor shopping isn't fun. I have a few things that I look for in a new healthcare provider.
