You never know what you will get when you tune in to the Bruce in the Morning Show. I will make fun of just about anybody and anything. If it's on your brain, then we can talk about it, so I always invite you to be a part of the show.
We don't live in a large town. There are benefits to that. The outpouring of support for people in need, the lack of traffic (except during the fair) and running into friends happens all the time. But there are some challenges when it comes to shopping.
A friend of mine was telling me the story of how she was taking her dog for a walk and saw someone she thought she recognized approaching her. She called out "Hi Sexy!" But the person wasn't who she thought it was and she was immediately embarrassed.
I think this has happened to all of us at one point or another. I'm reminded of the scene in "The Cowboy Way," where Woody Harrelson's character grabs a lady's butt and it turns out to be someone else. Of course the movie is scripted and he delivers a punchline.
RCA recording artist Bush Hawg were kind enough to let us chat with them on their bus before their set on the Bud Stage at the Missouri State Fair. They are certainly a high energy band and bring the party to the stage. Video and pictures are below.
Behka, Huntin' Harry and myself had the chance to check out the Jake Owen and Colt Ford show at the Missouri State Fair. A great time was had by all and the concert was fantastic. Here's some of the pictures we took.
Linda Hoover is an artist from Houstonia, Missouri. She is painting a mural pointing the way to the "MO50" art exhibit at the Missouri State Fair, and she's quite talented. Earlier in the fair, the portion of the painting that showed people that the exhibit was upstairs had to be removed. Why? Because it was done in a style that resembles graffiti, also known as "street art" or "tagging."
Candy Coburn agreed to sit for a brief interview before her show on the Bud Stage at the Missouri State Fair. Candy and I have been friends for close to five years. She is truly one of the most genuine people you'll ever meet. If you get a chance to see her perform, I highly recommend it.
I had the opportunity to go backstage to meet Wade Bowen and Randy Rogers at the Missouri State Fair. Everyone was great. Both bands took the time to talk to their fans during their meet and greets. Then I went on stage for some announcements and was able to upgrade some people from the grandstand to the track. Check out pics of the concert below.
Nashville recording artists The Roys kicked off the Bud Stage for the 2012 Missouri State Fair. They are a very fun band and they stopped by the studio today. The audio, including live music, is below.
