Where to See the ‘Dunkirk’ Prologue Screening Before ‘Rogue One’ in IMAX This Weekend

Following the debut of the first official trailer for Dunkirk earlier this week, reports surfaced suggesting that a special sneak peek of Christopher Nolan’s latest would screen in IMAX theaters this weekend with Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. That’s not surprising, given the similar IMAX previews of Nolan’s last two Dark Knight films, and the director’s affinity for the format. And in the least shocking news of the week, IMAX has confirmed this weekend’s Dunkirk sneak peek with a full list of theaters where you can see it for yourself.

UPDATED: ‘Arsenal’ Trailer: Did Nicolas Cage Really Make a ‘Deadfall’ Sequel? (He Did!)

At first glance, Arsenal looks like your average bonkers Nicolas Cage movie, if not slightly more emphatic than usual. But don’t let yourself be distracted by John Cusack’s do-rag and the sudden realization that Jonathon Schaech still exists — those things have been placed in the trailer to intentionally mislead you, for any true Cage fan will certainly recognize that Arsenal is not some basic VOD Cage Gone Wild experience; it is almost definitely a not-so-unofficial sequel to Cage’s forgotten 1993 film, Deadfall.

What’s Expiring From Netflix Instant: December 2016

Netflix may be giving us Captain America: Civil War on Christmas (and many more great additions next month), but there are also several titles expiring from the service in December, including — gasp — every season of Hercules: The Legendary Journeys. Okay, you might not be all that concerned about Kevin Sorbo’s biceps, but chances are there’s at least one or two things on this list of expiring movies and TV shows that you’ll probably want to watch before they leave Netflix next month.

New Netflix Instant Releases: December 2016

As a special gift to you this holiday season, Netflix is bringing Captain America: Civil War to Instant (on Christmas, no less), allowing you to stream and repeat to your heart’s desire. That’s not all, of course, as the streaming service is adding several new and classic titles in December, including Netflix Originals like Fuller House Season 2, the first season of the Guillermo del Toro-produced animated series Trollhunters, and the young Barack Obama-goes-to-college movie Barry (the trailer for that one just dropped this morning).

‘The Edge of Seventeen’ Review: This Decade’s Great Teen Angst Movie Has Finally Arrived

Ever since Tina Fey blessed us with Mean Girls, we’ve been hopelessly waiting for a worthy successor — a film just as hilariously honest and cleverly perceptive about the teenage girl coming-of-age experience, or something like it. The Edge of Seventeen is that film, a gloriously real story that feels as timeless as the great teen comedies of John Hughes, and as blissfully painful as My So-Called Life. It’s the kind of movie that only comes around once every decade or so, but it’s well worth the wait.

Eddie Redmayne Explains Approach to ‘Fantastic Beasts’ Sequel Titles

Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them is a pretty lengthy title, but no less of a mouthful than, say, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows — or pretty much any Potter film. With four more sequels on the horizon, one of our biggest questions about the series moving forward is how Warner Bros. will approach the titles. Fortunately, Eddie Redmayne has an answer.

Now Gunn is putting his money where his mouth is, offering $100,000 to the fan who proves that the easter egg doesn’t exist.

‘The LEGO Batman Movie’ Trailer: The Dark Knight Returns (Again)

Although just about every character in The LEGO Movie was delightful enough to deserve their own spinoff, only one truly warranted it: Will Arnett’s hilariously narcissistic Batman. The new trailer for The LEGO Batman Movie expands on what made that character so great, functioning as both a loving sendup and amazing satire of the iconic superhero. It’s kind of perfect.
