This kangaroo is unlike any that you've ever seen.

After spending a year in his mother's pouch, this albino kangaroo finally emerged for the public to see at Russia's Yaroslavl Zoo.

The chances of an albino kangaroo being born are slightly better than you somehow winding up with your own pet kangaroo -- that is, the odds are one in a thousand.

The life of an albino kangaroo isn't that great. They're prone to standing out among predators, face greater risk of skin-related maladies and tend to have problems with hearing and vision.

Fortunately, this particular marsupial has a shady area for himself at the zoo, which should help.
