Sedalia Police Officers responded to the 1800 block of South Sneed Avenue around 4:50 Thursday morning (June 30), in reference to a shooting incident.

Upon their arrival, a male victim and a female victim were located at the home. Pettis County Ambulance District personnel treated the victims and transported them to Bothwell Regional Health Center. They were later transferred to a Mid-Missouri Crisis Center for further treatment.

During the investigation, Sedalia Police officers were able to identify a possible suspect. In conjunction with the Columbia Missouri Police Department, officers located the suspect at a residence in Columbia.

The victims in the shooting have been identified as 30-year old Elisha Marie Curry and 27-year old Terez Dominique Lewis, both of Sedalia.

The suspect has been identified as 18-year old Henry L. Ward, of Sedalia. He was arrested and is being held at the Pettis County Jail, pending the filing of state charges for 1st Degree Burglary, 1st Degree Assault, Armed Criminal Action, and Unlawful Use of a Weapon.

At the time of this report, Elisha Marie Curry and Terez Dominique Lewis, are being treated for their injuries and are expected to survive.
