A Blast From the Past! Photo of KSIS ‘Mobile News Car’ Given to the Radio Station

The Townsquare Media staff received an interesting gift on Wednesday afternoon. A listener, Diane Stevens, stopped by the station with a photograph that had belonged to her grandfather.

According to Stevens, her grandfather, Ernest Carver, was assistant fire chief, and among his photo collection was this image of the KSIS “mobile news car” on the scene of a local fire. Stevens was kind enough to gift the photograph to the station.

We’re not sure of the exact date of the photograph, or the make/model/year of the “mobile news car,” but we have all enjoyed seeing this piece of our station’s history. Thanks, Diane, for sharing!
