A three-vehicle accident in Johnson County sent two people to an area hospital with injuries, Friday evening.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol responded to the accident around 6:20 p.m., on Business 13, at NW 400 Road.

The accident occurred as a 2012 Hyundai and a 2005 Cadillac were stopped, for a vehicle turning in front of them.

A 2008 Chevrolet failed to yield to the Hyundai and overtook it, which caused the Hyundai to overtake the Cadillac.

The driver of the Chevy, 19-year-old Karli D.Conard, of Centerview, suffered minor injuries. She was taken to Western Missouri Medical Center for treatment.

The driver of the Hyundai, 33-year-old Tina M. McKinney, of Warrensburg suffered serious injuries in the accident. She was taken to Western Missouri Medical Center, by JCAD, for treatment.

According to the report, the driver of the Cadillac, Michelle L. Cocke, of Sedalia, was not injured.

The Chevy and the Hyundai were listed as totaled.
