Thomas Rhett and Kelsea Ballerini took home trophies at the 2017 iHeartRadio Music Awards. The all-genre awards show took place in Los Angeles on Sunday night (March 5).

Rhett earned the title of Country Artist of the Year, beating out fellow country stars such as Luke Bryan, Carrie Underwood and more. Ballerini, meanwhile, received Best New Country Artist; that award was presented offstage.

"This is very cool; thank you guys so much for this ...," Rhett said as he accepted his trophy. "My wife is 18 weeks pregnant right now, and so this is also our unborn daughter's first awards show, so that's pretty rad ... Thank you guys for this award; we love ya!"

In addition to Rhett and Ballerini, Dierks Bentley and Chris Stapleton also won trophies at the 2017 iHeartRadio Music Awards: Bentley received Country Song of the Year, while Stapleton earned Country Album of the Year.
