A lot of people these days are very interested in learning about their family tree. With the show "Who Do You Think You Are?" and scrapbooking events, people find that looking back in their past is something very important to them. Preserving history and finding connections to long gone family members can become something very intensely important for these folks. There's a group in our area that have been working on that very thing since 1968.

I had AJ Heck in the studios today to talk about their efforts. West Central Missouri Genealogical Society and Library will have their next meeting on Monday, Sept. 23.

They will present Christina Miller, Senior Archivist at Missouri State Archives. They’ll meet at the Church of Christ lower level, 722 South Maguire in Warrensburg. Refreshments will be at 7:00 p.m. and the program will start at 7:30 p.m. Everyone is invited to attend. Make sure you check it out and you might get some insights in your own genealogy!

Researchily yours,
Behka
