Brian Dick of Dick's Barber Shop in historic Downtown Sedalia had to pay up a bet up to World War II veteran Walter "Mac" McBride. Mac has been going to Dick's Barber Shop for years, and when Brian's dad Frank Dick retired, he told Brian that he never once got a free haircut from Frank. This was about four years ago, and Mac asked Brian when he would give him one. Brian told Mac when he turns 100 years old, he would give him a free haircut.

Well, Mac turns 100 on Aug. 18, and Brian kept to his word. So yesterday (Aug. 7), Brian loaded up his tools and headed to Fair View Nursing Home to give him that free hair cut.
