The No. 1 ranked UCM Jennies once again held their opponent scoreless as they shutout Washburn 1-0 on Sunday afternoon. The victory improves UCM's record to 8-0-0 overall and 2-0-0 in the MIAA.

The Jennies are on the road for their next four games as they travel to Nebraska-Kearney this Saturday for an afternoon contest. Two days later the #1 Jens set their sites on Hays State, and then their road schedule takes them to Joplin on October 8 to battle Missouri Southern and finally it's Southwest Baptist University to battle the Bearcats for a noon game in Bolivar.

For the first time in program history the Jennies Soccer team earned a No. 1 national ranking. The Jennies moved up one spot from last week to take over the top spot in the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) poll released on Tuesday September 22.

Practice started Wednesday, Aug. 12 for the Jennies. They started out with  a No. 2 national ranking and then moved the UCM Women's soccer team into the top spot.
